This is the Lord’s appeal addressed to His Church – to spiritual leaders and servants. He says: “…go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents”.
I’ve thought much about this verse and understood that the most successful person is one who does not go away from pastors’ side. I know many people who fell into sin or lost their services because they left the “shepherds’ tents”.
If a lamb is leaving the shepherd, it can get lost or fall prey to wolves. It is safe for lambs to stay beside the shepherds’ tents, because a shepherd protects them and cares about their meal both in summer and in winter.
Beloved, never leave the “shepherd’s tents”. People always strive for independent life to avoid a condemnation from anyone, but the devil attacks them right that time.
Being a Pastor is one of the five gifts among services the Lord has given to the church. The pastor is granted with anointing for showing the right way and supporting/protecting his herd.
From the very first days I came to faith I had a pastor and I am not going leave the “shepherd’s tents. I am very happy that I have someone beside me who leads and directs me. There is a blessing and power in that.
Lord bless you, stay close beside the “shepherds’ tents” and never forget that you also have the patriarch, who is Jesus Christ, who leads and protects you all the time. Amen.
