Jesus Christ says: “I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” There is a movement in the world which is called movement of grace. The followers of this movement are led by the concept that if you once confessed Jesus as Lord, you are saved forever. In other words, ‘saved once, saved forever”.
Many people live in sins, and when you tell them that one day they will give account before the Lord, they reply, “I accepted Christ, so I will never be condemned, because there is no condemnation in Christ”. Yes, there is no condemnation in Christ, but how much are you in Christ? The whole Bible speaks about keeping of holiness.
It is not enough to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jesus reveals a secret, “if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.” He, who keeps the Word of the Lord, inherits Eternal life.
Let us examine our hearts today and see how much we keep the Word of God and live according to His Word. Many times we read the Bible with the purpose to share our revelations with someone or to show God that we read it, but how much do we allow Bible to become our teacher?
When you read Bible, think that the words written there apply to you and you must keep them and live according to them. Then God will keep you and you will never taste death.
God bless you, keep the Word of the Lord and it will take you to eternal life. Amen.
